Marketing a school with a professional video photographer

A professional video photographer can make your school look exception.

Marketing a school to increase enrolments requires high quality visual imagery as an essential part of marketing material. It starts with a professional photoshoot and an experienced video photographer to knows how to capture student life inside a campus and showcase its facilities.

Like all marketing activity they needs words and pictures to convey messages. A copywriter to draft key messaging and a photographer (+ videographer) to capture professional imagery. Once edited and approved these images are used to promote the school through all  media channels.  The images can also be stored on the websites image gallery for visitors to view.

We can’t stress how important it is to set-up a proper professional video and photo shoot. Successful results rely on good planning, finding key locations for campus set-ups.  Typically scenes of teachers and students interacting naturally. The videographer and photographer will be able to capture these scenes naturally a bit like a ‘fly-on-the wall’ or voyeuristic view point.  It’s highly recommended to do professional editing of images and footage because done correctly archive imagery is an investment that will last 1-2 yrs and can be used over again on all media channels.  Marketing any school is made easier when it looks good visually. It really helps bring to life the school atmosphere and makes key messaging stand out when surrounded by good visual material.

The professional video photographer projects we have been involved in all follow set standards and planning in order to get professional results.  We have accrued several years of experience delivering professional imagery for school marketing material.  All communications have pictures and words (radio being the exception) and it’s no different with today’s digital marketeer who needs a good copywriter and a good video photographer to capture great imagery. Both animated and still photos are expected these days and video photographer is important for projecting a positive image of a school. Whether it’s for  Google Ads or traditional press advertising, event and promotional collateral all require well written informative, concise copywriting and professionally shot video photographer.

A well planned and executed school’s digital marketing strategy helps it gain a competitive SERP ranking and establish itself with online presence. The guidelines we generated provided standards for video photography for 3rd party suppliers to follow. Typically we create a guide with examples of what works and what doesn’t showing samples of good and bad video photography will maintain a standard to follow including animation styles.

GEMS Dubai American Academy  have now established itself as a first rate school for local and expat students. Our initial marketing although started with a School Prospectus Design but the marketing plan  covered pre-launch, Launch and post launch phases. In it’s second year of operation were able to hand over the School Marketing Calendar role to GEMS Education’s corporate team who are the school’s owner and operator.

The brand guidelines (visual standards) that we created enabled the in-house marketing team to apply consistent branding across all touch points each time they needed marcoms. We began with the School Prospectus Design as this was required as part of the presentation to the rulers office to approve the new schools academic enrichment programme.

Further more we set about creating a School Marketing strategy which included a calendar for social media, Paid Media activities, Blog page management, and website CMS and SEO. As part of the marketing strategy to maintain online brand presence of the school, it’s location and facilities we optimized web content (SEO) for page ranking.  Our marketing efforts started with School Prospectus Design to kick start the project into it’s pre launch and school launch phases helped build awareness and drive enrollment traffic to the their website and registrar’s office.
